Weekend Reset: Build your strength for the week ahead
A few simple habits from me to help you recharge and stay strong.
We’re halfway through the week, so take a minute to feel good about what you’ve done so far.
Yes, even the small wins count.
Since it’s coming up to the weekend, here are some easy ways to help you stay more productive through the week:
Take a Break from Screens
Try going without your phone or computer this weekend.
Of course, we use them for work, but a little unplugging will help you recharge toward the next week.
Instead, try this:
Read one book in an hour
Go for a long walk
Invest more hours in a type of hobby you enjoy.
Spend Time with the Family
I used to believe that time with the family was a distraction, but it is now one of the best motivators, in my opinion.
Your family and friends remind you why you’re working so hard. It’s no fun reaching your goals if you don’t have people to share them with.
Spend time with them, and you’ll just feel more driven to keep going.
Exercise Regularly
It is not only good for fitness, but it also freshens up the mind.
From weight-lifting to jogging, staying active will keep you ready and sharp for the week at hand.
Continue Learning New Things
Weekends are a great time to learn something new.
Not only stick to your usual stuff, but read about different topics or listen to a podcast about things you have never heard.
The more you open your mind, the stronger and more prepared you become for challenges.
Organize Your Thoughts
Using a planner keeps you on top of your goals.
It helps remind the person with it what he or she wants to get done.
Staying organized is the key to staying ahead instead of falling behind.
Plan for Next Week
I am always lost when I don’t get ready for the week ahead. Spend a little time figuring out what you want to do next week.
This will let you stay focused and avoid any chaos.
Challenge Your Brain
Don’t let your brain be lazy.
Do something that really puts your brain to work, such as a puzzle or reading, instead of spacing out with the TV or your phone.
It’ll keep you sharp and ready for anything.
Enjoy Life
Remember to take some time to relax and have fun.
Short breaks to enjoy yourself help you reset, as long as they’re planned and not just procrastination.
Get Good Sleep
Sleep is, of course, important and considered by many to be the key to productivity.
Make sure to get about 6-8 hours each night, even when it’s the weekend.
Don’t stay up late since it is the weekend and you can; instead, go to bed at your normal bedtime in order to wake up ready to go for the day.
Do what the habits suggest, and you will have built yourself a life. Instead of running away from it, create it.
If you enjoyed these tips, reply with a “❤️” and I will send more.
Take care of yourself. I’m rooting for you.
Much love,
Ahmed
